Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction These terms and conditions govern the use of the Smart School Resource and Waste Management System (SSRWMS), a web-based platform designed to assist Anuradhapura Central College and other adopting schools in managing waste disposal, school resources, and unused spaces.

2. User Roles and Account Responsibilities Access to the system is role-based to ensure accountability:

  • Class Teachers: Responsible for accurate weekly or monthly data entry regarding classroom-level waste practices.
  • Section Heads: Responsible for reviewing section-level performance and monitoring progress.
  • School Management: Granted access to comprehensive dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making.
  • Security: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials. The system employs bcrypt password hashing to secure user accounts.

3. Acceptable Use of the Platform

  • Data Accuracy: Users must provide truthful and accurate data regarding waste monitoring and resource inventories (e.g., desks, chairs, and lab equipment).
  • Photo Reporting: Photo-based reporting of unused areas or resources must be strictly related to school management and safety assessments.
  • Prohibited Conduct: Users may not use the platform for any purpose other than school-related resource and waste management.

4. Data Management and Privacy

  • Data Purpose: Collected data is used to generate class-wise statistics, automated monthly reports, and to facilitate the "Motivation & Reward System".
  • Storage: Data, including images uploaded via the platform, is hosted on cloud platforms such as InfinityFree or Cloudflare Pages.
  • Resource Tracking: The system will maintain a digital inventory of school assets, categorized as repairable, reusable, or recyclable.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • Operational Role: The SSRWMS is a tool for planning, monitoring, and synchronization; it does not replace the physical cleaning staff or manual labor required for waste disposal.
  • Service Availability: While the system aims for regular synchronization and dashboard refreshes, continuous uptime is not guaranteed as it utilizes free or low-cost cloud platforms.

6. Intellectual Property The SSRWMS platform, including its unique integration of waste and resource management, remains the intellectual property of ACC Vertex Developers.

7. Modifications to the Service Future enhancements, such as advanced analytics dashboards, notification systems, or mobile-friendly interfaces, may be added and will be subject to these terms.

8. Termination of Access The school administration reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user's access to the system if these terms are violated or if the user no longer holds an active role within the school
